Most Miami businesses already run on the cloud. The question is whether their provider is operating that environment or just passing the invoice through.
If Azure or Microsoft 365 spend climbs every quarter with no explanation, a migration that started two budgets ago is still “in progress,” or nobody can produce a current list of who has access to what, that is not a cloud problem. That is a provider problem.
Your account is assigned a pod: technicians plus an account manager who learn your architecture and stay on it. Our team works out of South Florida, and the person who picks up when a Miami client calls already knows which workloads sit in Azure, which ones are hosted with us, and which line-of-business application nobody is allowed to touch during month-end. Nobody re-explains the environment on every ticket.
We have been running managed cloud since the early 2000s and have completed more than 500 migrations, including tenant-to-tenant consolidations and hybrid environments that need to stay hybrid. If you have internal IT, we take cloud administration, licensing, backup validation, and monitoring off their plate without displacing them. If you are replacing a provider outright, we inventory and document the environment from day one, so the knowledge lives with you.
In Miami-Dade, cloud is also the continuity plan, and a continuity plan that has never been exercised is a guess. Before hurricane season peaks we confirm that backups are current and restorable, that failover connectivity works, and that your people can reach email, files, and applications from wherever they end up when the office loses power.

Almost every Miami client who moved cloud management to us described one of the six situations below first. In most cases nothing had gone down. The environment had simply grown for years without anyone holding a current picture of it, and the previous provider kept renewing it without ever reviewing it. That is not bad luck. That is a provider who stopped operating and started billing.
Subscriptions, storage accounts, and virtual machines accumulate one project at a time, and the person who spun each one up has often moved on. Without an inventory you cannot right-size, retire, or secure anything. You are paying every month for resources nobody has opened in two years, and your provider has never asked why.
Consumption pricing rewards attention and punishes its absence. Oversized instances, licenses assigned to people who left, orphaned storage, and egress charges compound quietly. A provider who never brings you a cost conversation before renewal is not managing your cloud. They are forwarding an invoice with their margin on it.
Half-finished is the most expensive state a migration can sit in, because you are paying to run both environments while getting the benefits of neither. They stall on the same things every time: an application nobody wants to touch, a dependency nobody mapped, licensing tied to a server, or a project owner who left. Finishing starts with the dependency map the first provider skipped.
Cloud was supposed to make capacity planning easier, not opaque. You should be able to see utilization trends, spend by workload, and where performance is degrading, in a form your finance team can read alongside your technical team. If the only report you get is the bill, you are not managing the environment. You are being managed by it.
Platform redundancy is not recoverability. A deleted mailbox, a ransomware-encrypted SharePoint library, a corrupted database, or a lapsed license all produce data loss that redundancy does nothing about. A backup that has never been restored is a job that reports success. In a region that plans its year around storm season, that distinction matters more than most.
Cloud permissions accrete faster than anyone reviews them. Guest accounts from a project that ended, shared links with no expiry, global admin rights granted “temporarily” three years ago. It is the finding auditors and cyber insurers reach for first because it is the one they almost always find, and it is the one a compromised credential turns into a breach.
Not all cloud providers are built the same, and many resell a platform without operating anything. Here is how WheelHouse IT’s structure addresses the gaps that bring companies to us in the first place.
Workloads that belong on infrastructure we control run in WheelHouse data centers, monitored 24/7 by our own internal, US-based NOC. It is not outsourced overseas and it is not a reseller arrangement where “support” means opening a ticket with someone else. Workloads that belong in Azure or Microsoft 365 are architected and managed there. The recommendation follows the workload, not the margin.
Your dedicated pod includes technicians and an account manager who know your architecture, your applications, and your people. When a workload degrades at 4pm on a Friday, nobody is reading your environment for the first time while your team waits.
Management is a fixed monthly cost with written service levels, separate from platform consumption. Your finance team can forecast it, and your staff is never choosing between calling for help and controlling spend, which is the tradeoff that makes people stop calling.
Month-to-month programs are available for qualified new clients. Cloud arrangements are unusually easy to coast on, and a term that renews itself is how environments go two years without a review. This one has to earn renewal every month.
More than 500 completed, including Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant moves after an acquisition, server workloads into Azure, and Azure Virtual Desktop deployments for teams that need a secure desktop from anywhere.
We start by mapping dependencies, because that is what stalls projects. Which applications talk to which systems, which ones carry licensing tied to hardware, which ones the vendor will not support in a cloud environment, and which ones should not move at all. You get that assessment before a timeline, not after one slips.
The work then runs in defined phases with a named owner on each, rollback planned in advance, and your users told what changes and when. If a workload belongs on premises or in a hosted environment rather than in a public cloud, we will say so. Not every workload has a cloud business case, and pretending otherwise is how migrations end up half done.
Disaster Recovery as a Service with defined recovery time objectives, so you know how long recovery takes before the day you need to know. Restores are tested on a schedule rather than assumed, and the results are documented where your auditor and your insurer can see them.
Continuity also covers the parts that are not technical: runbooks your team can follow, communication protocols for when systems are down, and staff who have done the drill. In Miami-Dade that plan gets exercised more often than in most regions, and a pre-season review confirms it still works before it has to.
Stay compliant with industry-specific regulations like HIPAA, FINRA, GDPR, and more with our specialized compliance solutions.
Use AI-driven analytics from our dashboard platform to optimize IT resources, predict downtime, and enhance learning experiences. Automated insights help educators focus on students, not servers.
Support for industry-specific applications and integration with specialized software platforms your business relies on.
Examined under SOC 2, with CrowdStrike EDR on the endpoint and Huntress for managed detection and response, backed by 24/7 SOC coverage. In a cloud environment the controls that matter most are identity and access: MFA enforcement, conditional access policy, privileged access review, and offboarding that removes access the day someone leaves. Annual penetration testing and continuous vulnerability scanning cover the rest.
Most companies do not change cloud providers because something broke. They change because they realized nobody had looked at the environment in two years. We have taken over cloud environments from other providers many times, and the handoff is ours to run, not yours.
What you are running, what it costs, and what it is for. It is the first deliverable, not something promised for later.
Quarterly reviews cover utilization, spend trends, and what to consolidate or retire. Right-sizing happens on a schedule instead of after a budget meeting goes badly.
Your pod picks up in about 52 seconds and resolves most tickets in 29.6 minutes, because they are not learning your environment on the call.
Defined recovery objectives, restores validated on a schedule, and documentation you can hand to an auditor or an insurer without assembling it first.
15 minutes is all it takes to see if our approach aligns with your needs.
