Building over 10-years of customer success and feedback, Microsoft rebuilt Yammer with dozens of new capabilities that power leadership engagement, company-wide communication, communities, and knowledge sharing in Microsoft 365. Microsoft also announced new integrations specific to Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint and enhanced security and compliance. In 2019 Microsoft announced that a new experience for Yammer would be coming. Well, as of April 20th – the Yammer app for Microsoft Teams is officially available in the Teams App Store.
The app brings a fully interactive Yammer experience into Microsoft Teams, helping you stay connected to what’s happening across your company. Within the new app, you can participate in conversations, join communities, watch live events, share announcements, pin conversations, and mark best answers just as you are used to in Yammer online.
Now there is no more confusion about where to chat, or toggling between apps – simply pin the app, called “Communities” to the navigation rail and start discovering communities, knowledge, and conversations right alongside your projects, chat, and meetings.
